Thoughts on a car

A guy at my complex is selling a 01 ws6 with 44000 miles, thing is rear driver panel is dented from where car hit the curb. Rear axle is broken and cannot drive anywhere at the time, has to be towed. The guy from Louisiana wants to sell for 9k and was wondering from you Camaro and TA guys what yall thought of this find. I currently drive an 04 GTO, and am looking for a 2nd car to mess with....

Buy it for 8K, fix the dent and rebuild/upgrade the rearend. Keep it or sell it for 12K.

That is what i was thinking. Hopefully that is all that is wrong with it. If it is then great. I would check to make shure there is no damage that you cant see from up top. get under it and look for frame damage.

01 ws6 with that kinda miles would definately be worth 9k assuming everything else is perfect.

Perfect excuse to swap in a new rear too heh.

$8K would be fare, if it had a **** load of miles on it, I would say done even waste your time, but it could work if you haggle him down.

Broken rear axle is no biggie, you can pick up a used 10 bolt with 3.42 gears on here for 200 shipped. The axleis extremely easy to replace too.

I would take the plunge for 44K miles.

Thanks yall, im thinking of going for it, and haggling for 8k since i've got to put a new rear end, Just hope it doesnt end up being faster than my GTO.

Rear quarter looks like it can be fixed, its not that bad.
