Houston to Austin run??
Houston to Austin run?? Who from Houston is planning on trying to make the run to Austin from our area at the same time as the guys from DFW? I will be home from Iraq and I think it would be a lot of fun. Anyone else lookin into it?
Ya i have been thinking about it. We need to try and get a meeting spot together for all the houston cars. We should also try and put a list together so we can get a number of cars that will be attending.

I'm in and two of my friends that don't post here are in. I might have to come in the truck since I don't know if the TA will be back on the road in time. I think that we ought to meet up in Katy somewhere on I-10 since pretty much everone will be comming that way. We also need to find out how long it is going to take to crew from DFW to get there, so we can time it to be about the same time.
Which way does everyone from houston want to go. 71 a little better cruising road IMO, or 290 straight shot not much to see but DPS? These are the only routes that I know of. Anyone else have a suggestion. RIght now my vote is for 71.(or is it 77?)

It'll be my first also. I would imagine that it is not a who can get there first. If it is the cops in Giddings are going to go apeshit when they see all of these f-bods ripping through town.

Im sure that there will be there moments and occasional Hwy Drags, Im not condoning anything Illegal. And yeah I figure with fuel and misc- pit stops I figure 3-4 hours from DFW to Austin. So Im gonna say the DFW crew should be rolling into Austin around 5ish. I'll pm my cell number to afew people from each crew so we can all keep in contact about where we are.
