i can never sleep without 3 pillows

ummm when i drive, my left leg moves back and forth, i dont even notice it doing it. but it annoys the hell outta the gf. ummm thats about it for the car i guess.

at home or anything else, my cell has to be on vibrate, i had it making any noise. the only time its not on vibrate is when im driving or when im sleeping. i also show up places 20 or so mins early cuz i hate being late. it also has to be COLD and DARK and i have to have a radio on but very quite or i cant sleep, if there is light or its warm or the radio is too loud im not sleepin at all.

The only one that I can think of is if I see a spot of dirt or something on the floor I have to vaccuume the entire house. Guess that I am not as fucked up as I thought. Thanks guys.

this is one of the most original thread topics ive ever seen...

as for me,

CAR ****:

- steering wheel has to be straight
- all a/c vents have to be straight, and the smell-good-things that clip on have to be in symmetry across the dash
- bottom of rearview mirror has to be parallel with bottom of rear wndow
- driver and passenger seats have to match exactly...
- i cant stand to have a clean car, and the door jambs and ttop jambs be dirty (which sucks cause its very dusty where i live...)
- car always has to be backed in, no matter where i park


NON-CAR ****:

- i count everything...everything, im constantly counting in my head
- everything i do has to be in 3's, if 3's arent possible, it has to be odd



im sure there are more, they just seem normal to me...

on a side note, my mom once told me that when she was little she thought she had an imaginary string or thread attatched to her back, and everytime she turned around she had to turn back the opposite way or she would get tangled up in her imaginary string and go crazy...

in most cases i see, i dont think its necessarily OCD, just idiosyncrasies...

- That is me too! if i have veggies on my plate, i gotta eat them first. If i have a sandwich, many times i'll eat the crust ... all of it ... first.

on a more serious note, i used to wake up EVERY NIGHT in a cold sweat and have to check on my son to make sure he was breathing. I HATED THAT!! I ended up just forcing myself not to check anymore (he is now 4) I was fixing to go crazy! I got the motherly fears times 1000.

Both Seats have to be lined up identical.. dont get in my car and slide the seat all the way back annoys the crap outta me
Must Buy Gas in $5 amounts or just do full tank
Worry about anything that could break on any of my vehicles (really need to get over this one really bugs me)

Non-Car
If I got up from a seat and turned around any id have to turn around before I sat down (BROKE THIS OCD)
must do things in groups of 3 (BROKE THIS OCD)

Cant think of much else im glad i broke the 2 non-car ones i can think of atm

Hmmm...
lets see, sterio has to be set even 10s on volume 10,20,30,40...
I consistantly check neutral even though I know it is in neutral...
everything i do is in 3's, counting cash, checking locked doors...
out of paranoya it prolly looks funny, but every couple of minutes I tap myself on the right *** cheek to see if my wallet is still there, if not I get that deep "OH ****" feeling.

I cannot go into the guest bathroom without looking behind the shower curtain, it freaks me out.

Must have the fan on to sleep no matter how cold it already is in the house.

At work I cannot walk by any of our 4 copy machines when lights are flashing without either refilling them with paper or clearing the jams. If I put paper in one machine, I'll add paper to them all.

and i always make sure the windows are up when i aint near my car ... wouldnt call it OCD though..

Ha Ha. Man we all need help. As I talk to people I spell sentences across your face. Example, if you were to tell me "Hey what's up?" Starting with your left ear across your eyes to your right ear and down the nose to the mouth I have to spell that whole sentence with the punctuation landing at your mouth. LOL I know it's weird. Also my volumes can never be on an un-even number.

I thought of another one!!!

My windows have to be either all the way down or the front slope of the window has to intersect at the corner of the door. Making a 45 degree angle with the door. I dont know why, but the window has to be all the way up, down, or at the "middle" posistion.

I never turn my stereo all the way up, i dont wanna break my bose, so i stop it three ticks before max.

My glove box and t-tops need to be locked at all times!

Interesting thread. I've had a whole bunch of these tendencies in the past. I forced myself to stop though. I haven't really thought about it in a long time. Especially with the car stuff.

-Have to always check ls1tech for new posts
-Always check Ttop if they are latched.
-Always round of too the nearest gallon not dollar when pumping gas
-Align cig lighter
-have a "top to bottom" system when showering
-When Im riding as a passenger in someones car I clinch my teeth every time I see a lane divider to kinda count them.
-OCD with maintance for a car I change oil very frequently as well as spark plugs.
-when riding passenger in a car im the ultimate second driver when ever they are at a interesection, chanching lanes, or backing up I have to look out the rear window or in the mirror...people start to get really frustrated.
-have to look at my car when walking away
-have too check if doors are locked or if the hatch is open twice.
-always lower and raise steering wheel when entering and leaving the vehicle.
-astray lid MUST be closed.
-Sliding cupholder Must be closed.
- must have a fan or be a certain temperature or i wont fall asleep.


thats all i can think of right now.

Some more:

-When exiting car wheel must be straight, wheel m ust be locked, check ignition cylinder if it will budge(side to side), pull eBrake, put into 1 st gear, check wheel if it is locked again, then make sure shifter is still in 1 st...

Pretty much everyone knows about mine..

I can't stand to have the feeling of dirty/greasy hands. Especially while eating this quark effects me the most. IE crumbs from chips or the sauce from wings must be wiped off 100% before the next chip or wing can be touched. Often times my hands will shred the paper napkins after a meal simply from wiping my hands while talking with friends. This also happens while working on cars as well, but as long as I have a towel to wipe my hands somewhat it's no big deal. Thats mainly due to not wanting to have a dirty car/tool though.

There are more, but I want to see who can spot them first..

my controls have to all be pointed furthest to the left when im not using them
i always fill up the gas tank, not 5 bucks here or there
my rearview has to be exactly lined up the with rear window
i lock my doors than pull the handle to make sure it locked
i wait to here the fuel pump before i start the car

OHH I forgot when I pump gas it has to end in .00 or .50 even if I have to overfiiled it.

I bite my nails all the time when I'm nervous and most of the time I don't even notice it. I've tried to stop but can't.
