Funny how he seemed to get them back the following laps. He was consistently out-braking the C6 going into T12, even on the last lap.

Nope ... his brakes were fine. He just tried a video game move.

No "real" racing sanctioning body would allow a pass in the grass like that. It happened to me at NPR at Baton Rouge in 2005 and black flags were given to the offenders.

But, this is all a big video game, right?

FWIW ... T1 suspension on a Vette is a dealer installed, factory option. And it sucks on the drag strip. Notice the shifter hopping around?

Can't wait to see little missy drifting or the muscle cars try to negotiate a tight autocross course or the mouth try and explain how good he is from the trailer. LOL

The fact when they popped the hood it had a aftermarket air bridge and cold air it was the dead give away.. Last time I checked I couldn't goto my local Chevy dealership and pick that out.

that was definitely an entertaining show but it kinda sucks they didn't go into detail about what exactly was being done to the cars.

 

But road course is not all about HP. That was evidenced by the 1/2HP car running down the Vette.

It's about weight, not HP

It's still a heads/cam car vs a stock 350z.. It's like when Lou brought his full race car to race SW's 01 Z06 at the road course, when SW called out his C6 Z06.

 

I saw what I saw ... You claim failed brakes at lap 7 when he overshot 10A/B. But subsequent to that at T1, T6, T10A/B and T12 he was making up huge chunks of ground by outbraking a C6. Please explain it to me so that I understand how he did with failed brakes ...

Having instructed hundreds of folks on road courses at MSR-C, MSR-H, TWS, Hallett and TMS, I can pretty much spot a hot head. He let his emotions and ego get the best of him. No room for that on a road course.

Now if he did get brake fade after only 7 laps, shame on the crew for sending him out on crappy brake pads and/or cheap brake fluid.

Had he been patient and used his car to it's potential where it out-shined the C6, he could have taken it home. Even you X-Box racers should be able to recognize that ...

And 400-500-600 hp don't mean squat if you can't get it to stop and turn. It's simple physics. 500lbs makes a HUGE difference.

I can shave 3 seconds a lap, which is an eternity, in my 230hp LT1 (have to run a restrictor plate) at 3000lbs on 255/16 Toyos than I could in my 400hp 3700lb street car on 315/17 Kuhmos and with 4 piston Brembo brakes.

Weight is a killer ...

They were running on KDWs. While a decent tire, 10 laps of hard running probably saw huge chunks missing from the tread, especially from the heavier cars.

Were the teams assigned a specific car or did the teams chose which car to bring?

If you chose to bring a finger nail file to a knife fight, then you sorta get what you deserve.

If we show up and you get the knife and I'm assigned the finger nail file, well then yeah, that wouldn't be very fair, now would it.

 

The 350's brakes didn't fail, at all.

 

Its funny how the 350z keeps up with a H/C c6 on the road course. Very sad very very sad!

Hey Jeff I`m in the process of moving right now and I still had my VCR hooked up and I am recording the replay that came on at 1 am. I`m going to show it to little Al. He plays X box racing games so he will be really into it. I`m not going to tell him your in it and see if he notices you. He will be suprised.

 

None of the drivers are worth a **** so it doesn't matter what car they were driving. Where did they come up with these drivers?
