99.5 KISS in San Antonio was good when I was living there, dont know how it is now. Anyway 94.5 buzz sux and pretty much any radio station just sux, but 94.5 just sux harder. I dont listen to the radio anymore for quite a while bc it sux, just like 94.5 buzz. Got Sirus and my IPod.

Z-Rock...The Mighty Met Full Hour of Metallica I REALLY MISS that station. What happend to it??? I know it went from one extreme to the other when it changed over, I heard rumor that it pretty much moved to College Station, but I never followed up on it.

In order of what I listen to (Radio Presets):
94.5 Great station but too many commercial breaks, and on random days they will play this music that no body on planet Earth has heard before in their lives..and the music is horrible. Also they went throught the phase where they played Nirvana music atleast 5x a day, as well as Pearl Jam....I want to throw my radio out the window.
96.5 Great variety not as many commercial breaks
107.5 Hardly any commercials, lots of great music(CCR,Fleetwood, Neil Young, etc)
106.9 Not so many commercials lots of good 80's music, sometimes ill catch some red hot chili peppers in their and become disappointed...i hate red hot chili peppers
103.7 not what it used to be at all, R.I.P. 101 KLOL
93.7 Music selection is not that great IMO. Not many commecials though.
104.1 Sometimes will have good music, other than that its just another 97.9, and 104.9 and I cant stand rap/R&B/Hip Hop music.

Here is the deal 104 whatever - its like 92.5 KZPS in Dallas (which I love), but they do not play the entire song. They play radio edits like in the 80's. Nothing over 3 and a half minutes. It is rediculous, and it pisses me off, but there is nothing better. I grew up listening to 92.5 in dallas and they actually would play the entirety of Kashmir or Break on Through or something like that. They still do as far as I know. The crazy thing is I think they may be owned by the same entity. I can't tell offhand.
I have to say that overall the Texas standard radio market is dead. But it is a descent station.

What ever channel plays my ipod the best.. its usuall on 88.1 lol. But having 8000 songs on that thing pretty much makes me not want to listen to the radio.. I LOVE IT..

Welcome to the land of radio edits. It's a shitty land.
From 1988 to 1995 I did not know half of Metallica songs existed. Not the songs themselves...half of each song was missing from the airwaves.
Those two songs you mentioned are two of the worst chops to me as well. It is to get them down below 4 minutes. Cut out entire sections/guitar solos/the cool *** building keyboard part in Won't Get Fooled...all gone.
We both know where the rest of those songs are...not on the radio. I think it may be a trick to get us to buy the full versions. Either way its crap and you are totally right.
