Great job! Glad it worked out for the better. We need more people in this world like you that are willing to help out in these situations. And whoever said you were an idiot, just pointed out how pathetic some are.

I was in a similar incident years ago, except I got stabbed in the scuffle. Not bad though, I think it was only 9 stitches. It was worth it though because if it wasn't me it would have been a girl that was there also.

hopefully not... he will get a copy of the police report right... has my address on it... he has 5-7 years probably... I am actually moving in about a week... he could always search my name? Is there a way to hide that some how?

Great Job bro! and just be prepared for the city to move slow on helping you out with restitution, there will be a lot of paperwork required. Just be patient.

Good job on chasing that guy down! I think you should hang up your current shoes and become a police officer.

The way the law reads now, you dont have to have a CHL to carry a firearm with you in the car. I am going to get one anyways, but carry with me everyday.

Excellent job Freni!!! Thanks for being an outstanding citizen. We need more folks like you in this city! Most people are too shocked to do anything. I know they can't help it, it's just the way they are. Thanks again!

While the female cop was wrestling with him, I wouldn't have gotten back on the phone, I would have treated his head like a soccer ball.

Mo' fo' push my car, I'm getting some payback.

Wow,
good job! You did the right thing.

While you may get restitution it will most likely be from him, meaning you will get a $50-$100 a month payment once a month for XX Months, while he is on probation, after his court hearing, etc. and you will never recover the real cost of the damage,
which sucks.

You insurance will most likely pay for it, but I would not tell them that you were chasing him, I would say that you left, and then saw him again later at the light.

I am with TWS,
I would have taken him down, high school wrestling style!
but I know its a tense situation and you don't want to unintentionally make things worse for the officer.

I have seen some huge cops on Westheimer at some of the restaurants, like 6'8" 270 lbs mean looking brothers in uniform, Glad they are their to deal with those extra big criminals.

That is a wild story - nice job. Glad you came out unscathed. Hero of the month award to you, sir.

Funny thing is, when I am on some run for female items late at night I always think, "this is the time for something really strange to happen."

I drive that intersection every day. I see a bent pole at Westheimer and Gessner southbound, is that from this story?

Yeah, I saw it too. Notice there's no light at the top. I think that's it.

haha yup that is the pole! They actually had centerpoint energy out in 20 minutes to asses the damage! Cops said it usually takes them 2-3 days to get out there. If you look at the pole... bent in half The light on the top is missing as well... that light fell on top of his car!

Does anyone know what information he will have on me.... I am hoping just the police report... but if he has insurance... I would think he would be able to get a hold of my address... like I said I am moving up north this upcoming week in a house I just purchased.... is there a way to block my public information from him finding it?
