All highway driving i'll avg 380-400 or a little more before fill up. Usually calcs to around 28-30mpg. In town/highway (most my driving) gets around 300+ to a tank. All in town i get around 18-20mpg. Unfortunately it's been running a little bad lately (bad 02 i need to replace) so my last tank was only 260 miles on a full tank of hwy/city

I just got my brand new '02 SOM Z28 M6, all stock and i drove it back from Florida and got 27.8 mpg(the only time I checked it), with the cruise on 76 and the AC on low, so I was pretty damn impressed to say the least

Mods in sig:

I get between 22-25 depending on my right foot. Mostly highway driving, 45 of my 50 miles a day is all highway.

Next is Cam and Stall...there it goes!

Maybe i should have inquired as to heavily modded H/C cars... I know you M6 guysget killer mileage regardless... Us A4, H/C stalled guys do good to get 15-16 mpg... I thought i was special...

The f-bod's are great none the less...IMO..

I'm hoping to make my C5 A4 a 10 second daily driver that still pulls 25mpg on the highway. I haven't quite figured it all out yet, but I think I'll get darn close.
Even if I fail @ the mpg, it's still amazing how efficient our motors are at making 350+ HP and 30 mpg with the right setup. We get better power and mileage than most semi-similar cars - S2000, Mustang, etc.

Everyone that I bump into that scoffs at my "sports car" is pleasantly surprised to find out that my little toy gets better mileage than their eco-sedans...haha

Man, with my manual valve bodied Z28 with 3.73's and 224/230 cam and 3800 TCI I get 14 on the highway.

Orange car gets 25 on the highway and 10 in the city....

Yeah my gas mileage took a dump lately too. I used to get around 240ish to a tank. "fill er back up with 13.5 galllons" Now I am lucky to get 200. i don't know if it is b/c of all the added weight of the 17x11's. Is there such thing as winter gas?

Yes. There is hot weather gasoline, cold weather gasoline, and then there is regular. I knoqw that the hot weather gasonline is formulated for less fumes. and the cold weather gasoline (i think) has an extra chemicle thats supposed to keep it from freezing.

hmmm...the cold weather gas is a myth. Gasoline freezes @ -140F, so I don't think it's in danger of freezing anywhere...
