Which way to take the car
Gut it,
Build Race Car Suspension, Cage, etc. capable of low 5's in the 1/8th,
then put a streetable motor in it, like an 11:1 408 with a glide or TH400 in it, making 550-600 rwhp
3500-4000 stall, huge tranny cooler, one of the nice ones from EARL's.
some 3.90 -4.33 gears, a spool,
You could run low 10s on motor and spray it with a high dollar kit to a low 9 in the 1/4 and have a really fun car that could on occasion make it out to a Sat night street night.

The motor finally went out and I went with a 13.5:1 408ci nitrous th400, full cage, race seats, harness, ect,.. all out drag car. I love the car the way it is right now, and the fun I have with it at the track. The one thing that I don't like is that my car has been running since the beginning of Nov 06 and I have taken it to the track only 4 times. It just sits in my garage. I guess if you want to build something for the street and something for the track then build two cars? That's what I'm going to do. I'm looking to build another car so I car take it to the streets and cruise to meets and have some fun while I wait to take my "drag" car to the track.
