How old are you?
My wife's mom gave away their Cocker Spaniel they had for 5 years (family pet! early 80's...we're old) at a garage sale while my wife was at middle-school. She came home and asked where the dog was and her mom said, "Oh someone wanted it so I gave it to them". Also, she wouldn't "special order" my wife (as a kid) a cheeseburger from MD's, but then turn around and order her burger with no this and no that...WEIRD!!!
