Default WTB Inexpensive Radar Detector

Seeing if anyone has a mid range priced amd fairly new radar detector they wanna sell?

The whistler pro 73 or anything from bletronics is ideally what I'm after! I don't really need the new passport or V1 so don't suggest it or offer, its out of my price range!

PM me or post up anything ya got, thanks

If I might make a suggestion. Save your money and buy a Passport or V1. They are head and shoulders above the rest that you mentioned.

Think of it this way...you can either buy a 'good' one now or pay the same amount via writing a check to the state after your ticket.

Well thanks for your .02 cents but I don't think you read halfway down in the thread. Read again before posting

I have one, but she talks Way to much but that could be an advantage cause if you do get pulled over she could talk the police officer to death. And as afar as price I'll give you $100 to take her lol! Good luck with them haven't done much for me in the past.

cheap radars suck. You either spend a little more for a nice one, or you will spend more for tickets. Which do you prefer?

I disagree with paying lots of money for a Better one. I have some little old Whistler that I have had for over 4 years and works just fine. Hope some one can hook you up.

We had a couple cheap ones in some of my cars, and a couple passports in the other cars. This was during the same time period. The cheap ones do not work nearly as well. Yes, they detect radar, but they also detect a ton of other junk and do not give you as long to react as a better radar.

Try out a passport or V1 and you will never want a cheap one again. Figure if it saves your *** three times, it paid for itself already.

I read what you posted and I'm still going to suggest you get a V1. Cheap detectors wind being one of two things....a light and a bell that go off when you encounter ANY sort of electromagnetic signal, or a light and a bell that go off when you've already gotten yourself pulled over.

If it's not in your price range, save your money. It'll be more expensive to buy a turd and then pay the local county mounty a couple of times.

Accept no substitutes....

Depends on what it saves you from, it may pay for itself once.

I was stopped for 64 in a 40, that's a $296 ticket. You can get a 8500 X50 for that price.

I ended up paying $106 and taking defensive driving.

Well as suggested either save up and get a good one or don't bother. I am going to get the laser jammer on both vehicles soon and use it with the Passport. There is a lot of Laser going on in Houston. Which i have been tagged with that and the only defense is a laser jammer.

Either that or get a good attorney and just pay him to take care of your tickets, I have both a passport and attorney.
