Talking Pics: First day of April

Still have a Firehawk hood awaiting paint
just put my monthly coat of wax on the car today
And i got to try out the new camera: Sony CYBERSHOT (very impressed)

Damn I am impressed also...Nice shots and a great looking TA man...Have you ever gotten any trash from officers about how you have the front plate mounted?

I would just take the plate off. Having the plate there shows that you know you should have it, but you just dont want to put it on the front of your car, imo.

My city is really strict on the front license. plate so that is the reason that i have it on the air dam. i actually have got asked by a police officer, but they said that it was ok

Looks good! I wish mine still looked that good. DD for 2 years takes a toll on paint. The strong winds on friday blew a shopping cart into my car at wal-mart and made a dent. Im pissed!

walmart pisses me off at night. they cant put anyone out there to put carts up so there are just biggillions of carts EVERYWHERE just waiting to hit your car

HA!!! I had the license plate in the same location on my 97 Z28 (M6 of course) with a 355ci LT1....weird.

Nice lookin car man.

when you say 'firehawk hood', you mean a LT1 WS6 hood, right?

im pretty sure they are identical in design. its possible that ASC started making them in 96 for the WS6, but i could be wrong

WS6 Hood



Firehawk



The Firehawk hood is the older design of the two, came out in 93 when the 4th gen hawks came out, the WS6 hoods came out in 95 on the Comp TAs, 96 on the WS6 cars when they were reintroduced, WS6 in the last use before that was a suspension package on the third gens Firebirds. Far as the 4th gen LT1 hoods are concerned, slight difference, be hard to tell if you didnt really know one from the other.

As you can tell its basically the same design almost, just very subtle differences, if you never saw it side by side you would probably never know the difference, it isnt as broadly apparent as the LS1 WS6 and the LS1 Firehawk hood.
