Looking for machining job Due to circumstances at my present job, I feel the need to obtain other employment. The pay is horrendous, but I knew that from the start and the experience I get is worth enough to stay, but the smart-assed comments and shittiness of the work environment I'm in now warrants a change.
I am a SAM student. I am working in a machine shop now as an automotive machinist and engine builder/rebuilder.
I'm looking for a machine shop or performance shop that needs a hand on machines and in the assembly room. I don't care if it's deisel, auto, or race, just as long as it's fairly organized, the pay is consistent (I said consistent, not large) and I can have a decently enjoyable working relationship with my boss and coworkers. I'll start calling around tomorrow, but if anyone has any leads, please let me know.

I know of an opening up in DFW at a high end shop.
There's a local shop here in Centex that just got a new 5 axis, and I think the owner is the only guy that knows how to use it. The shop does everything from Ft Hood contracts, to diesel engine repair to race engines..

18 months if you separate the heads from the block class (9 months for each class) or 10 months if you do both together. You can check out http://www.samracing.com and get a lot of answers there.

If you are serious and are willing to learn. I know a Performance Engine Shop in Spring Texas that could use some GOOD HELP right now. GRIGGS PEARFORMANCE ENGINES; Call TIm Griggs @ 713-992-1015. He is a great guy with a clean shop and looking for someone who has a good attitude and a passions for performance. LOL
