Default Anyone around austin have an extra LS1 intake?

Apparently the brass sleeves where you bolt the fuel rails down onto is stripped out. Should I retap it or just buy another LS1 intake? I can't afford $300+ for an LS6 at the moment...

I'm about ready to push this thing off a cliff.

No I realize which topic I posted in. I know he can get a helicoil for an ls1 intake at ace hardware. A helicoil for a crank snout is more than likely going to have to be purchased online.

Dude that's rather minor. Want some help fixing it or do you have it under control? (heli coil or just a retap to a larger size)

Let me know, I've got to work on my car tonight anyways so I'll be at my place I live in Far North Austin.

I know it's minor but my car idled for the first time in 3-4 months yesterday and I'm too excited.
What are my options with the brass sleeve? Can I replace it and retap it? I have a tap and die set, but I'd rather have all the bolts the same size/thread.

It's completely stripped out.

just a basic heli-coil kit from your local hardware store. Just bring the bolt to get the right size, i'm pretty sure you can solve this problem in the next few hours if you wanna. You near breeds on 29th? I like their selection for this sort of thing.

Sounds like you are more frustrated then anything.

Bring it to the car show tomorrow night so I can see your car.

I'd like to check it out.

The show is at 620/I-35 on the West side, behind the McDonald's.
It's in the parking lot of the closed down albertson's.

Think it kicks off around 6:00 PM.

If all goes through tonight I'll be making the test drive tomorrow. If it's good I'm 100% in.
