Powdercoating was my original plan, but we (the shop and I) ran into some complications and bigger expenses down that road. Since the rearend is pretty much assembled, I didn't want to risk (or pay for) the disassembly and have it end up being noisy.

Maybe I missed it but is it a Moser or a Strange?

I installed my Strange 12 bolt last week and the LCA's arent lining up properly. Thank God I have relocator brackets but I had to swing them down to fit the length. I ordered some adjustable LCA's to solve the problem. Let us know how the fit is and if anything adjustable was needed please.

Thanks

Moser. My LCA's are adjustable. Hopefully that won't come into play.

Looks good. I used rust-proof primer on mine, 2 coats, then hit it with 2 coats of black engine paint. Still holding up awesome after 2 years. POR-15 is better if you can get your hands on it though.

What kind of brush did you use I might do that instead of spraying it?

I've had good luck with a foam brush, and their supplied brush...it runs out pretty well, so really, any brush will work. I already have 2 coats on my Strange, and I'll probably put on another just for grins.

just a typical 2" wide paint brush. It goes on thick and dries smooth and brush-stroke free.

POR-15 is the shiznit. I used some on my '69 in the trunk and on my floorpans. I think I'm gonna use some on my boat trailer when I sandblast it this fall.
