+1 on what tony said...POR15 is the ****. i used it on a bumper/grill guard made out of pipe that i built for an F250 back in high school. that bitch ran over trees and got hit with hammers/chains and never cracked, scratched bad, or anything
It's getting painted and cleared. I haven't worked this hard on the appearance of the rest of the car to let the rearend get rusty.

And before anyone asks "Why didn't you get a 9-inch?"
1) I don't plan to make crazy power or drag a lot (though "a lot" is a relative term).
2) I wanted to retain ABS. I have a 3-channel, so without getting some custom work done, ABS would have been out.
Thanks to the guys at G-Force for a good deal. They'll also be installing it, along with my UMI trans-mounted adjustable torque arm.
After the week I had last week (lost my grandmother), this really helps my spirits.

Mike, pick up a 6-pack of POR-15. One of those tiny cans should cover the entire rearend. This stuff is MUCH better than regular paint or clearcoat. Brushes on easy, dries smooth. A little goes a long way, and it will seal the rearend.

Yep I agree with Tony on the POR15, my last rear I actually got powder coated silver. It worked and looked great.. but takes more time and more expensive. Don't mind the rusty "proto" torque arm and non matching rear end cover in the picture, car wasn't finished yet.
