I would suggest calling Aamco on Camp Bowie. Talk to Jeff and tell them Bryan sent you. Tell him you want Jason to build the transmission. He is the best builder I have heard about. I should know as I used to own the place and have seen several bad builders.
I have heard good things about TDE and sixspeedsinc.com in houston is a sponsor here.
Good luck and if you need any infor just PM me.

My name is Gilbert Olson, I co-own ACE Racing Transmissions. I am not sure why you would "suggest staying away" from ACE simply because you do not know who the builder is. Have you been to our company in the past as a customer or to take a tour of the facility? Have we met in person or even spoken on the telephone? Are you basing your information on advice given by someone who actually has been here as a paying customer who is not satisfied? If it is the latter, please ask that customer to contact me personally as I am not aware of any unsatisfied customers or their complaints at this time... or any time for that matter. If it is none of the above please let me know what facts you are basing your comments on.
Certainly I understand that any shop is only as good as it's last job and it's people. But we pride ouselfs on our processes, the processes that were instilled that ensure the highest quality product regardless of the personnel. It is only reasonable to recommend those that we are familiar with. But, I believe it is unreasonable to recommend anyone to stay away from someone else if you do not know who that someone else is. All you gotta do is pick up the phone and call to find out anything you want to know about us... anytime you want to know it.
I find it interesting that you would take such a negative posture without having first hand personal knowledge of who we are and what we are about. Do you have 1st hand knowledge of our processes... of the race cars we are associated with or the test programs we are currently involved with? Feel free to come by anytime and check out our test mule. It recently went a 7.0 at Kennedale with our 4L60E in a 3600# test mule on stock suspension. That is just one of the cars we are associated with sir.
If you have not been here yourself I would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite you and your friends to come by and meet us in person. We are here most days from 8:00a.m. until 7:00 pm Monday - Sat.
I myself am ASE Master Certified with over 24 years of automotive experience and over 5 years experience as a builder on line at new car dealerships. Our builder is John Orlando. John is currently ASE certified in 6 categories, has numerous awards and certificates from ATRA and ATSG dating back many years. John has been on line building transmissions for over 25 years solid. Most recently John spent more than 9 years on line at Phoenix transmissions in Weatherford building racing automatics. I think if you were to get to know us yourself you would find us to be a shop you would recommend in full confidence to anyone.
Sincerely,
Gilbert Olson
