Default The official "How to stop your neighbors dog from shitting on your lawn" Thread

So I have had this problem of dog **** mysterously appearing on my lawn, and I had a feeling I knew who it was. Well, suspicions have been confirmed. When my wife went to move her car into the garage before the weather hit, she found the neighbor to our right standing in her yard (almost to mine) calling her dog to get out of my yard, and says nothing to my wife.

This has been a problem since we moved in (November 06). And I know she will try to say its my dog (my dog is 60 lbs.. hers is maybe 20), but say I were to get said bitch (dog and owner) on video... is there anything I can do besides call her out?

I agree. It's uncanny how **** size is a direct relation to the poundage of a dog. Had a friend with a dane, and if THOSE weren't some enormous piles, I don't know what are!

Get an airsoft gun, shoot her dog everytime it gets in the yard (if you catch it). Not as bad as a BB gun, just enough to scare them away. Or just let your puppy out in your yard when her's is...Pretty sure that little confrontation would be one sided.

William

p.s. You could always just take a dump on her porch...

Collect a sample from both dogs, and place them on his/her doorstep with a little sign that says "Your dog"......"My dog"

I dont like to add to problems, I like to end them. So me taking a **** on my neighbors porch doesnt really stop her dog from shitting on my lawn. IMO, its not the dogs fault. If the owner doesnt establish boundaries, then the dog doesnt know any better. I just need a highly tactful way of keeping this dog off of my lawn.

i would say to let her know it is bothering you, if she still does not get the point then take some other action (listed above)

I have a 60-70 pound pit. Sweetest dog in the world until somebody unwanted tries to come in the house. He's also well-behaved outside our yard. I've seen him go check out other dogs on the street. But when a human or animal gets too close to me or the house, he lets them know. I'm pretty sure if I had your same problem, it would be solved very easily with one of those retractable leashes.

I agree... why haven't you tried going next door and simply talking to her and ask her to keep the dog on her own property??

Same here, and it worked with my parents' neighbors. Silly lab crapped itself in the middle of the road.....and I think the owner did too.

But seriously, have you or your wife ever said anything to her? Maybe start with some regular neighbor conversation and in a couple weeks ask if she knows which dog has been using your lawn.

Size of dog generally is proportional to its eating habits which relates to size of ****. It's not that deep.

This guy it on track in my book, only thing is, just set a short bowl(green if possible) near the most "defocated" area. Only thing is, every other animal wild or not that takes a hit will heal over too, but i am not one to give a ****, if the bastard drinks outta your yard then it is the "bitches" fault, prolly would never know anyways. GOOD LUCK!

Just talk to her honesty is the best policy when it comes to matters like this. Just let her know you have enough **** to deal with your own dog and would appreciate his/her help in keeping her dog from droping a land mine in your yard etc... If they don't help or don't get it stoped then get the lawyer above LOL! Funny video!!!

True, but I was speaking not only of the mass, but the diameter of the stools. Had to break out my handy dandy Brown and Sharpe caliper a few times.
