i saw the local news test one of these on a mini van a few year ago and it actually lost power and got worse gas mileage

I seen that that infomercial. I have also read post about it on tech about how bad it sucks. The infomercial said something about Hot Rod Mag having it as product of the year or some thing like that. Why would they HOt Rod Mag say something good about a pos product? I guess it's all about the $$$$.
