How long for custom plates to arrive?

The plates will be at the location where you need to pick them up between 1-1 1/2 weeks. You probably won't receive the letter for probably 2 weeks or more. I would call the local office that the plates will be going to within a week and ask if they're there. If you're in a hurry and cant' wait, I would call the office rather than waiting for the letter. The plates will arive way before you receive the letter.
