wow, kimbo did use some good MMA techniques. I was surprised. Not any backyard brawler left in that guy, hes turning into a good fighter. Put him up against some of the heavy weights right now in MMA, taht will really tell us how he would fair.

I saw some of the vids from Kimbo training with Bas Rutten. He defininitely used a lot of things that were new to him, and he used them well.

He has the drive to do really well in this sport, and its good to see him without all his goons. GO KIMBO!

Funny though, the Mercer fight showed he was 33. Dude didn't age well at all, I thought he was 50. haha
Kimbo is 33, mercer is like 44 or something close.

I thought it said he was 48 at the beginning of the vid with the stats.

mercer is 46, height 6'1, weight 241.5.

Kimbo is 33, 6'2, 239.4.

I have to agree with tony when I first saw a kimbo fight I thought he was 50+.

He still is raw, but the training with Bas Rutten paid off.

lets see where to begin.

Kimbo is improving lightyears everyday. Originally he went to train with Bas Rutten. After training with Bas for a couple weeks, Bas sent him to a camp in Las Vegas to train for ground work and striking. Came back to finish off with Bas, and as Bas said "Kimbo is his best student ever. He came to me wanting the Bas rutten workout and I gave it to him. Even when he was dead tired he wanted more." Further more, Bas even said Kimbo believe it or not is "a great guy, and gives more respect to me more than anybody else in my camp. He is such a great guy, he has dinner with my family, is always polite and never cusses."

It sounds like going pro mma was the best thing for kimbos life. He had great physical strength and ability, and has a pretty impressive chin as well. Once utilizing ground work and some BJJ he will be a force in the HW class, but it will take another year or so of hard fights, not fighting chumps like old fat *** mercer.

When Kimbo fought Gannon, yes they were both gassed, but Gannon being a mma fighter already he was not allowed to use submissions or kicks which was gay as hell. Typically all of kimbo's fights were on his terms.

Anyways I'm really excited to see how well he does. Unlike most, I think he will be a force and has that drive "****** gots to eat".

Kimbo will be a good MMA fighter...the problem with him is his "gangsta" crew that hangs around him....hopefully he gets rid of them and really puts 110% in his new profession....

Kimbo vs Abbot will be a good fight but Tank's days are over...Kimbo wins by KO...

Dunno if Kimbo will make it in the UFC....they frown on "street fighters" and that might be something that's held against him....

He has nice hair. I've always liked the "Bozo The Clown" look.

true, but they will give the people what they want.. if there is a high demand esp to make money.. the UFC will sign him on

The only time I've ever seen him winded was when he fought Gannon and that fight lasted a good 15-20 minutes!!

i really think he has no chance against the big boys of the fighting world. fador, krocop, gonzaga etc wil all dominate. even alot of the light heavywieghts would work him.
