Default Rain continues to fall in North Texas

I am in Flower Mound above Dallas and it wont stop raining. The lake is above normal so its time that it should stop raining.

Some pictures of my backyard:

Dang...I live off the lake. Most of the streets around here have serious flooding issues...many are closed.

I can't complain about not watering the lawn every other day though...my water bills are still under $30 compared to last year at $80 by now. I hate the LCMUA!!

Post Free swimming pool

YA yes, free swimming pools,

all this high water is good for me. we seem to have a bunch of our clients drive into high water and hydro lock their motors. makes for a good paycheck to R&R engines.

i was thinking of investing in a boat so i can get to work.

dang rain impossible to keep the car clean.

that would great to see you out there in your backyard in a inflatable tube with a cold brew in hand.

Well me and Pdan are kind of getting tired of it because our lake is over flowing into roads and other things. Yes it makes for a great lake season but its about time that it stoped. My parents went to go look at purchasing a house by the lake and the road to it was closed because it was covered it water and thats one of the many inconvinces due to the rain.

yeah my pool is about to overflow. It usually drains down within an hour of the rain letting up, not lately though.

Keep dry everyone.

I was driving down to work this morning over the L. Lewisville bridge on I-35E and the park area on the south side was flooded. The swimming area now includes trees, benches, lots of grass, etc. I don't think I've ever seen it that high before. Not to mention many of the low areas (flood plains) are completely full. Streets are shut down if they're anywhere close to the lake or flood plain. I wonder what it's like for the areas north of the Colony or in Little Elm that are near the lake.

I am ready for it to stop too but it is kinda good since it gives me time to put my tranny back in. Really bad for the tracks, though, they may stay closed for a while because of all the water.

That's gotta be a rough business - trying to manage the cashflow during the peak periods to cover the bills during the slow ones - You getting paid for not working?
