Carbed LSx tuning?

Default Carbed LSx tuning?

Ok guys, Im currently working on an LSx project and have some questions about how to set this thing up. Its just a carbed LSx conversion....nothing big. Here is my question....Where would I take this thing to get it tuned so that its close enough on the A/F and other paramaters so that it dont leave my rotating assembly in the oil pan the first time I hit the spray? There are many shops that specialize in EFI LSx tuning but Im unaware of any "specialists" for the carbed setups. I am definitely not a carb tuner and dont think im capable of setting a carb to idle or run right on an engine with over 240+ duration. Oh, Im about an hour or so from DFW.

Assuming you are hitting it with a plate? or a fogger? Regardless if its going to be a nitrous setup run the carb lean NA. If its tuned correctly lean, plugs the correct heat range, etc...the fueling for the motor will be added via the nitrous kit with a stand alone. This is only a nitrous tune up...Not if the motor will be run NA only.

I have a plate system for it bc it is purpose built for nitrous. I am really wanting this to be a reliable setup so Im interested in all the info you can give me. Ive gotten one reply through pm's about a sponsor shop that does carb tuning but it is about 6 hours from me. I was hoping to stay in the dfw area but if nothing else turns up closer I guess Im gonna have to travel. My biggest concern is tuning the carb. Im clueless.

Give Billy at SQR a call, he's tuned quite a few carbed cars.

One other option you have is to contact some of the local engine shops that have an in house engine-dyno.

3 GOOD guys right there!

David Reher and Bobby Cross can tune pretty well as well. But getting them to do so would be tough lol.
