If you are in to baseball, the C.C. Hooks are the Astros AA team. Hunter Pence played there all of last season. Troy Patton is there this year...should be a great major league pitcher one day. Minor league games are fun to watch and it's cheaper.

Like Ross said, the Corpus Christi Hooks are good to catch every once in a while at Whataburger field. There are also a couple of good bars within walking distance from stadium.
Concrete Street Amphitheater has some good concerts there often. Rositas has good Mexican food and Water St. Seafood is good as well. You can take a tour of the USS Lexington aircraft carrier, go fishing, go to the beach, go to South Padre, go to Schlitterbahn in South Padre, cross the border and go to Matamoros, etc.

You just missed C101 Sea sculptures, but so did I. I definately miss going fishing every weekend back in my high school days. Lots of places to go fishing for sure as mentioned. If you can stop by Boat n Net aka "The Mexican Red Lobster", its one of those whole in the wall shacks thats just has its own thing with food. My favorite fishing spot is the Jettys Port A, you can fish and see hot chicks at the sametime. I miss home . Just that the job market and pay sucks there. If I lived there again I would definately have to get me a 4WD and throw some Boggers on it.
