Anyone notice the wires hanging down on the driver side? Looks like it had an aftermarket stereo system or something that they disconnected... course it could be something else since it's hard to tell what type of wires they are
Yep that's a poncho headunit all right. The equalizer gives it away immediately, not to mention the ugly *** buttons.
Probably sounds like ****. I swapped the back OEM Monsoon amp from a friend's '01 TA into my '02 Z28 once and my sound quality was instantly horrible. Pulled it back out and noticed it has a different GM part #. The stereo gurus would know for sure, but my guess is the amps are internally different and my guess as to why is the equalizer. The plastic surround panel is also shaped slightly differently and I think that's to fit around the power antenna that came on Ponchos.
