I've been once and it was at Texas Ski Ranch. I will be going a lot more it was a blast! Got up the first time no problem. Now i just need a friend with a mastercraft, wakesetter, supra etc.. lol. I've got a 21ft bayboat, but it's thirsty haha. And I might try to get a board for christmas, maybe a ronix?
Back in April Houston Mastercraft held an event out at Pappas on Lake Conroe, I won a free day of riding with pro along with a few other people. All I can say is it was awesome but super cold. Here are a few pics of Ricky Gonzalez, and Josh Palma, but they are badass to watch in person...

We went passed the light house, then under a bridge all I really remember is that the cove was on the left side of the lake and we pissed people off who were trying to fish...

Dont go over to that cove unless you know that area. There is a trick to going over there to where you dont get stuck in a buttload of stumps. I was at that houston mastercraft event. My buddys dad owns houston mastercraft. Some of my friends are in those pics you posted. Heres an old pic of me.. its the only one I could find.
Yes thats the only bad thing about going anywhere new the rist of hitting something with the prop.. We ride on the San Bernard and havent had any problems knock on wood haha in the past 2 yrs.
