Nah, not when your in your hometown and know the local judge personally!
Its like another misnomer about cops. People always think they have the right to see the officers radar gun if you're stopped for speeding. They are under no obligation to show you if they don't want to and you don't have the right to see it.
The longer you stay in your car, the safer everybody is. You get out and start acting all froggy and you might be going to the hospital or morgue. Its like another misnomer about cops. I thought that they had to be in route to a call or emergency and have their lights or sirens on. I know they get special treatment when pulled over and especially when in uniform or in their car. Either way, if we are the onew paying their salaries, they should have to follow the same laws that they enforce.
Back to the sign, I think its a badass idea just be careful if you get seen putting it up!
Just wanted to give you a heads up that officers aren't held to the same set of traffic laws while on duty, emergencies and sirens blaring or not, that the general public is. I was riding with a buddy of mine not too long ago who is a policeman and was off duty. He was driving about 20 MPH over the speed limit and I told him he better slow down. His response was, "why? The badge means you can". Even if an off duty cop or their spouse is pulled over all they have to do is flash their law enforcement ID and 99.9% of the time the on-duty officer will just say, "have a nice day".

Yea, I have seen that many times also. I have many friends who are cops in my area.
Its kindof like presidents lying and getting away with some head! They do it cuz they can!

And then if they had to use weapons that you could use yours too?
Cool.
I can vouch for him on that one. I got pulled over, chewed me a new *** and told me that if he saw me do that again he'd take me in.
Now I have no proof to whether this is true or not, but it half-way makes sense.

Short: guy videotapes a traffic stop, now faces felony charges for wiretapping.
Judge ruled in 2005 videotaping cops OK
This is actually an incorrect statement...The way the law is written in Texas, if an officer is in a "marked" car. They do not have to obey the speed limit...I believe the reasoning is behind this is following suspects and such...but they probably didn’t know that anyways....
