so you sued them or wat? if not did you get any $$? did you buy the car back from them? If you have the car Ill buy the damn thing, its fixable, their lazy assess just prob think there's too much work involved that they wont make no money so they told allstate to total it, but that is the way to do it, you have to cut the quarter where it was hit, but you have to get the full piece.

Same **** happened to me recently. I had a perfect WS6 and a guy ran into me. His insurance(State Farm) recommended I go to the local Pontiac dealer. They half assed all the repairs, bascially just putting reconditioned panels over all the torn up metal and parts underneath. I got the car over to Richey Collision and Chris and Karen fought his insurance and the dealership and eventually, the dealership bought my car for $24k!!! and fired the bodyshop manager. HAHA.
Moral of the story, never take your car to a dealership for body work. And if your near Houston, take it to Richey Collision!

Tim Lane has done all of mine and Cragers body work and has done a great job. He put only new parts on my car.

wow at the hack job

isn't it better though that it's a total loss and you get a payout instead of repairing it? now you can get a new car.

I personally wouldnt want to keep it. I'd take the money and buy a nonwrecked car. I'd be somewhat happy that there hackjob caused the total. JMHO.

After notifiying Allstate of this they sent someone out and counted it as a total loss, due to the actions of Momentum BMW. The car was repairable before those idiots got a hold of it. I got hit by someone who didnt have insurance, a license and it was a hit and run. The guy was chased by civilians and the cops caught up to him 30 mins later and gave him a ticket for no license, he gave false insurance information. Illegal immigrants, lazy cops, and shitty body repair shops destroyed my dream car. On a good note my wife wants me to get an 09 SS. Ill try and post picks before and after accident and repair work.
The car had 36k and was in mint condition before the accident.

Just remember that if you want the car to look like it has never been wrecked take it to LANE's LOL! Tim is great with these and well all cars really. Another place that caught my eye was Richey collision I saw the work they did on the G-force's cars and they did very nice work also! Sorry for your loss. I have sectioned cars before and it is one way to do it with used parts, but they didn't even get close to where they needed to be for a good job!

Just for the record momentum bodyshop has nothing to do with bmw. It just happens to have the same name. There repairs are not bmw approved. This gives us bmw dealers a bad name. I hate to see this as well.

So what are you going to do? Are you going to go after the body shop or what? I am glad to hear that your wife is supportive of you getting the new one

Am I seeing this right? Did they actually cut try to cut off the section that was damaged and splice on on new section?

Why didn't they just replace the parts? You should have taken it to some of the body shops in Houston that specializes in F-Bodies, like Lanes HiTech in Pasadena. That guy works all kinds of miracles, and his cars pretty much come out better then new.
