Default What would you do?

I know as this is a chevy site the opinion will be lopsided but I still want to hear what people have to say. I was think of trading in the 03 cobra for a trailblazer ss. A guy I know has one and for the money it's a very nice ride and sometimes I just feel the urge to cruise in something that is not a sports car that everyone and there dog tries to race. The only concern I have is I think I will miss the go fast/handling aspect of the sports car. What does everyone have to say?

I went from a 01 Ws6 to an 03 LOADED (I mean it had everything) Avalanche loved it for about 3 weeks then was miserable for 18 months bfore buying my SS. If it was up to me I say no way but to each his own.

An 03 cobra car payment and a TB SS car payment may be a little too much for a 21yr old college student.

Ah, why didn't you say so before. Get an LS1 it is more economical than both of the other two then when you get out of college and get a good job you can then have a car and truck if you want.

You will probably end up missing your Cobra. Trailblazers are really nice and can be very quick, but it's not the same as your car. Your best bet would be to buy an older cheap truck or SUV and just use that whenever you don't feel like driving your Cobra.

I had considered the same thing on occasion, but just ended up buying a '90 Chevy 1500 for $800. It's got decent paint and the AC works, so if I don't feel like driving a car, I use it.

IMO newer chevys are crap, they look really cheap inside, i havent seen the inside of an SS trailblazer though. If it looks anything like the regular TB or the silverados i say keep your cobra. Plus your young man, you'll have plenty of time when your old to cruise around in something quit and comfortable.

The interior in the new Silverado is crap?? Thats the first Ive heard of that...Trailblazer is scheduled to end production 09-10, so maybe you can grab one in a few years when they stop making them. Id get a decent truck to use when the weather sucks or as a DD, like ray said.

Well I have a few friends that have Trailblazer SS's and I got to drive on this weekend at the Revit up event at the Reliant center and they handled VERY well and had a lot of power also very nice interior I didn't see anything cheap about it for sure. But is it going to be as fast as your Cobra (Even if it is stock.) No. Is it going to handle as good as your Cobra. Not such and easy answer, but in terms of performance No, but close for a larger vehicle for sure. Is it the Vehicle to take the place of your Cobra? That is for you to decide really, everyone is going to have there own opinions. I would love to own one each of a lot of vehicles, but fact is I only own a few and none are a Slowbra j/k LOL! I would probably suggest that you go test drive one if you think it is really an option for you and don't be closed minded about it as like I stated above it isn't a sports car, but a Sport SUV! Good luck! You will figure it out.
