Default Went to jail in Austin!!!

I went down to austin last weekend for heatwave and the weekend ******* sucked. First of all i had a headache so i didnt get to enjoy the show that much. Second, I was arrested and charged with wreckless endangerment for spinning my tires in a parking lot. I was pulled over by 8 cop cars and my car was searched without my permission, I was never read my rights, and the ******* who arrested me lost my keys and left my wallet on the back of his car and ******* lost that too. To make things worst my car was illegally towed and damaged in the process. The city of Austin is a living hell and I never wanna go back, Just had to rant sry.

While the rest of it may be jacked up, the only time they have to Mirandize you is when:
a) you're not free to go (you're being detained or have been arrested, essentially) AND
b) they're asking you questions pertaining to the incident/crime.

Many people get arrested and are legally never read their rights.

Yes, I was one of them, but I was a little cooler than what you dealt with.

Man that sucks. I would have been ******* letting those cops have a new one & told them they are nothing but ******* ********. Its not like they could have done much else to you. Your already going to jail & getting your car towed. Worst case is they give you a Resisting arrest charge & I have had 4 resisting arrest charges & every one got dropped in court by the DA. Man that just sucks. Sorry to hear man.

Being from Austin I can't begin to tell you how dumb it would be for you to do ANYTHING out of the ordinary over the HeatWave weekend. Cops are notorious year after year for clamping down on laws and enforcement big time over the course of that weekend. It never fails year after year that a group of dumbshits will ruin it for everyone else. This year there was a fairly large incident in a hotel parking lot where they arrested a bunch of out of town participants. It's assclowns like this that will ruin it for everyone else.

The other 362 days of the year, the cops are much more laid back and easy going. In the years that the HeatWave has been here, I have yet to NOT here a story like yours. I guess that's how it works around here.

Believe me, I am not trying to defend them at all, but it is common knowledge around here to not draw any kind of unwanted attention to you or your vehicle over that particular weekend in Austin. Terribly sorry to here that happened to you though.

The cops there are very cool, used to bullshit with them all the time **** *** drunk after a night downtown.

It's your fault for getting yourself in that situation, shouldn't have been trying to show off.
