Default Need Help With Brake Problem

Well the brakes started grinding about 5 days ago, so we chnged out the rotors and pads last night. Now the brake on the front passenger side is locked up. We went ahead and changed out the caliper on that side also b/c it was pushed in. Put everything back on, and it still won't roll freely. Something has it locked up. Even when I drove it from the neighbors back to our house, when I let off the gas, it came to a stop all by itself. Has anyone ever had this problem or know how to fix it??
PLEASE HELP!! I don't want to keep buying parts that won't fix the problem.

Check your E-brake, lol Jk.

Does each rotor move freely with the calipers on and without the wheels on the car?

No, it's locked up, it won't move at all, but only on the passenger side.

Did it bleed easily? Sometimes the rubber brake hose can collapse and not release pressure.

The proportioning valve could be stuck as well.

Be sure to check your work, make sure the caliper slides freely on the spindle / braket.

Hopefully that will do the trick!

Might as well throw some Earl's SS lines on there too while you're at it...
They are around $100 for the front and rear.

Well, Thanks for the brake line Tony!!! Rick put it on, and it is still locking up!!

We are going to losen up the pin, but the brakes are way too hot right now! It wasn't doing all this when I had the old brakes on.

Thanks for all the advice! It sure is helping!

Its the caliper pins and they are frozen...It was never the caliper itself in the first place. Take the mounting bracket off the car and put it in a vice. Heat the bracket up around the pins and the pin will slowly start to release. Pull it out, sand it down, clean out the floater holes and re lube it all up when you put all back together....

Thanks!

Yeah, thats our next try. I really wish we could have found all this out before I went off buying all this stuff, but I guess it needed replacing anyways. the car has 185000 miles on it.
