Taged, Insured, and inspected They were very strict about the rules last time. They went over emissions equipment, almost did not let me run. My car is 3850 lbs. full interior, ac etc. Must bring all paper work, insurance card, registration, and inspection paper work. I have everything worked out this year. The cruise is approx. 30 miles. Look at Texas Motorplex website for full rules.

talked with texas motorplex today. good thing my truck is emission exempt. no max tire size, parachutes ok. slicks ok to make cruise on. looks like I'll see you boys on Saturday. don't worry tho, who knows my truck might not make it on the cruise, even though I cruise it to meets here, but I have a turbo truck coming with me and its a stock suspension street truck and is just as fast as I am.

For those that where interested:
Owen from ARD who won last year brought out his Maroon Firebird.... it ran only a 10.5 after running a 10.13 with a 408 and 200 shot. This year he had a LSX 455 Hydrolic Roller with Warhawk LS7 heads and a carb style LS7 intake..... 25X/26X Cam with over .700 lift. He had a ?300? shot dual stage.
More power.... just didnt make a clean pass.
The owner of Shaun's old car and Shaun Freese brought his 358 Solid Roller Nitrous Black SS out. He ran a 9.3 at 150 letting out since there was a car in the back of his lane. He had issues on that pass... transbrake slipped.... car moved forward, so time started and he was not ready to move. Just because the lights go doesnt mean you have to go. He asked for another shot... on that one he was already low on bottle pressure so he abandoned that pass.
TurboStang @ DFWStangs.net? or whoever with the blue and orange flamed 106mm small block mustang ran a 9.0, and 8.8 in T & T.... he was one of the only ones running T & T yesterday. He make his pass after what looked like he was having some issues. Ran a 8.9 at 148 or so and took the second place winnings. 1k iirc.
The car that one the event was a "non-promod" full racecar. Chute and all. Gorgeous 68 or 69 Camaro SS with a big block canted valve motor and a **** load of spay. He ran a 8.6 or 8.7 if i recall...... so $3K goes to him!
Big props to Shaun and the Fox Body..... bringing Knives to gunfights and competing with in what my opinion is a car that shouldnt of been racing. IMO a 25.5 Chassis car is not a streetcar. I am not asking for a daily driver event... but come on.... there should be a limit to this. 10pt cage max and make it a drag radial class. My definition on streetcar is "Drag Radial" and pump gas.
