after long hours of work and deliberation i finally put her all back together
started her up, and got the general smoke after h/c swap and drove it around the block...
...guess she needs a new thermostat lol she was running hot and full of water with a brand new water pump
you guys think it could be anything else or did i hit the nail on the head (ps no codes)

yeh, but whats weird is it says its got low fluid but its filled to the top, so i just think that the thermostats not letting any water in ya know? bc that would explain why so little water filled up the whole thing

Next time, pull the driver side radiator hose off the radiator and fill up the car as much as you can from there. Then put the hose back on and fill up the radiator itself. I'd be willing to bet you've still got a little air in her, no need to worry though. It is a BASTARD sometimes.
You should definitely bleed the clutch. You'll need a 1/4" drive ratchet and an 11mm shallow socket, 2 person job.
The "low coolant" light is such a piece of ****, that GM stopped putting them in the later cars. Just unplug it and zip tie the plug up, it should go off and stay off (at least for a while). Mine comes on every now and then and it's not even plugged in.

Not sure, but I can tell you that you need to make sure it's the correct one. The 98's are different than the 99+.
I believe the 98 has 3 prongs in the connector, while the later ones have 2. They tried to give me the wrong one at the stealership when I wrecked my stocker.
