Default dfw people/cops tint

whats actualy legal, every shop i call tells me they wont do anything lower then 35...
last time i chekced 25% is legal, but no1 has it anymore
your window is like 2% with nothin on it so if you get 25%-2% then your illegal i understand that and the cops tester is 2-3% error...so 25 could read 20...

anyways now that i said that what is lega for sure? is it still 25? and does anyone know a good tint place? preferrably that has 25 at least 30!?

Last I heard it was 35% not 25%. In San Antonio though it's not so bad with darker tint.

Legal on the front doors is 35%

20% will fail the meter test but can be put on the rear windows

On the front windows. Rear windows can be as dark as you want. As far as Ive ever known since forever, 35% is the limit.

It doesn't really matter what tint you have as long as your windows are always rolled down

I was just at the tint shop two weekends ago and their chart said 25%. Which is nowhere near dark enough so I got the guy to put 5% on the front windows. Just got pulled over this morning and cop didnt say anything about it. I know its a 175 ticket though.

I've had 5% all around for well over a year now, never even been asked about it. I keep the T-Top shades in and my windows are up 90% of the time. I've had cops stare at me but they never do anything. No front plate, no cats, dumped exhaust, 5% tint... you think they'd be itching to pull me over.

well i guess it depends how bad the cops are in your city. 35% is the limit in texas but i think 20% looks perfect in my opinion, im thinking of getting it and just riding around with the windows down.

I just had a shop do my truck and they did 30% on the sides. They said thats as dark as they will go because 25% is the limit.

I now have 5% on the vette
