I stalled out by my school after our hard downpour we just had. Turns out it engine threw a rod. I can for sure say that it was my CAI that sucked up water. Water was up to curb height.

Discovered the hole in my oil pan after getting towed home when jacking up car. (i was planning on taking out my spark plugs and turning over the motor.)

My Silverado was going through water that ran over the hood at a few points. No lights, and no issues.

Keep in mind that water around here goes down quick. If your car doesn't do well in water, then wait for the rain to let up, and the roads will drain off quickly.
