Need Switch For Elctronic Cutout ASAP!
I pulled all the wires off of mine and no forgot were all of the wires go and I keep blowing fuses.
Just look for any double pole double throw (DPDT)momentary toggle switch. Some have built in reversing wires. It's spring loaded to the middle position. The spring loaded part keeps the swich in the off position until you press on the switch.
Here's how you wire it up:

Some example switches:
Radio Shack should have them in stock. Just look for DPDT momentary.
You can also use a rotary switch where you turn it left and right to open and close the cutout. It's all up to you and what you want.
Also, be sure to add a small 1A fuse inline with one of the power wires.

Now if you want an electric controller you'll need to get this:

Some brands have a light to show the fully closed and open position.
BTW, half open is not half the noise. Half the sound is closer to 1/8 open. The noise increases as soon as you start opening it up and fully open, as opposed to halfway, really just gives you more of a shaking rumble at higher RPM's.
If your having a lot of shorting problems (like me with the Q-tec) pull the boot off the motor and make sure the solder blob from the wires is not touching the motor housing. Mine was super close and would blow the fuse every time I tried to close it. You see, as the motor activates it torques slightly and that allowed the solder blob to touch the housing and caused a short circuit. I think I just bent the connector a little more away or else cut some of the solder off. Either way you do it will work.
