Default Anyone ever shipped a boat?

I need to have a boat brought up to DFW from Winter Haven, Florida in the next 10 days or so. Anyone ever shipped/had shipped something like that? I found a guy on the net that will bring it behind a 3/4 ton dodge for $450 but I really want it in a closed trailer if possible considering its such a light boat. Anyone have something to offer here?

Register on 35thle.com, then pm 'RareSS'. I know he does things like this - or maybe can turn you on to someone that does. His name is Jim and lives in Abilene.

L3 Transportation is out of Tyler, Texas. When I was working at a boat yard in Cali, they did all our transportation from the Midwest..

I would think $450 is an absolute steal. DFW to Winter Haven = 1111 miles times round trip 2222 miles divided by 18 mpg times 123 gallons fuel at $3.00 per gallon is about $369 fuel cost alone. Guy works dirt cheap.

I think he was dead-heading, just looking for someone to pay his fuel cost on return trip.
