I actually posted up back on LS1.com about this as well...
Why did "BEVO" get so much attention? I mean it was a heads/cam car with nice wheels. It had a gay name and the paint got fucked over by AMS. It had 4,8l heads, a small cam, and custom true duals...
I personally think the car was hideous. Mostly because Cory named his car after a cow...
Oh yeah, and JLee's car is even worse. One of the ugliest F-Bodies ive ever seen!

I don't think J. Lee's car ever got the attention that Cory's car did. Cory's car was bad ***. It was fast and it was beautiful. It was certainly not hideous. Naming it BEVO made sense for Cory since the car was SOM and he was a UT grad. It might not have been the fastest out there but it was a damn nice car. As for the paint, the hood was the only thing that got messed up and it was fixed.

Who knows why the car got so much attention in the very beginning. GMHTP put it on their cover and did a 5 page feature on it before the car even had 900 miles on it. I guess people thought it looked okay.
The car wasn't just a mild "heads/cam car with nice wheels" for very long. She was pretty fast briefly... until CJ stepped up and ran a 6.3. All ancient history now!
Oh yeah, suck a nut Wade! LOL.
