Gold SS Ok so I posted a long time ago about seeing a Gold SS on I35E near Denton. Recently I've been browsing for another toy and came across one! This car is rare (1 of 29) and I STRONGLY considered buying this on the fact that it's rare and it's a decent price. However since I've decided that I don't really need another SS I'll put it up for anyone since I know someone out there has to want this car and they're so hard to find.
I've asked them a few questions so far and found that it is a WU8 code car and has bilstein suspension. The car is 100% stock, down to the paper filter and the single left side exhaust. Some clearcoat peeling on the hood and small tear in the drivers seat.
No I do not know this person just relaying the information so if someone is looking they can find it.

There's a 98/99 Z28 Gold Vert with a tan leather interior that I see all the time around the neighborhood. It makes me throw up in my mouth.
you guys are silly, gold SS's look cool. That is a classic musclecar color, if it were a 6-spd (especially 'vert) I'd buy it myself.
Just needs polished wheels, silver wheels look like crap on gold.

They only made 29 because they found the gold ones to be slower than all other colors.
j/k, it is a clean car and a ok price. I hated red cars before I got mine, but it the price was better than other colors and the red has really grown on me. the car just needs some gold wheels to really set it off though.

Interestingly enough, when the hugger orange Camaros came out in 1999, about 2/3 of the LS1 crowd thought they were ugly too. Now they have their own fan club and are quite desirable. I remember trying to convince people that orange cars were cool back in 1999, haha.
Yea the one I saw in person looked DAMN good (bet it was this one since it was in the DFW area and there are so few). Either way, I'm sure someone wants a rare color. Like I said, it's no concern of mine if it sells just thought I'd give LS1tech the heads up on a car as rare as this. I got a couple Hugger Orange Camaros so no real need for another at this point.
