Default Biker death on Fanin

I was on my way to work this morning around 830am and saw a firetruck blocking the lane on Fanin near OST. A few HPD police were directing traffic to outside lanes, while I passed I saw a red sports bike on the sidewalk and and a body bag getting zipped up. From the seen of the whole thing this guy obviously didn't make it today.

won't ever catch me on a bike of any sort, to many bad drivers here to look out for. I don't feel safe in my car sometimes.

lately in dallas ive seen bikes traveling at high speeds and doing wheelies, and you wonder why so many of them die. ill never get a bike, if i did it would be 35 mph city street driving.

I ride a bike daily. It's not the bike I'm scared of, its the jackasses beside me.

True, people drive crazy in cars but everyday 8 out of 10 bikes i pass are doing something stupid, passing between the lines down a row of cars, wheelies, and just hauling *** over the speed limit period. Its sad but just about anybody can get financed for a bike and alot of inexperienced kids end up getting seriously hurt or killed.

I've seen some nasty accidents on residential streets also.

bike riding actually increases yuor awarness while driving period, so although there is riders that ride crazy(i do every now and then), its the cars we have to look out for period. hey, i get a little crazy in my z sometmes too, which id say we all do.

Sucks about the guy on the bike, kinda common reality with those things. With a car you mess up or some one else does, chances are your going to walk away, with a bike, you *** is grass

Most guys these days get a sports bike for a reason and it's usually not to save a pretty penny at the pump. I hear it all the time from riders saying "if you know what your doing and don't act stupid, you'll be just fine." I'll take my chances on four wheels anyday.
