Default Big PROPS to GForce and HKE!!

Well, after patiently waiting for about 3 months, I finally picked up my car this afternoon. It runs and sounds amazing, better than the last motor from the get go. It feels so strong and the pedal response is amazing compared to the last two engines. Cant wait for my final tune in 200 miles!

Great job guys, thanks.

Its not bad for a little cam only car on no boost.

Compared to the last 2 engines? What have you been doing to them?

Congrats, I've been waiting for them to finish your car and I knew they were getting close last week. I am sure you'll be happy with it.

The first motor was head/cam package with 24,000 miles when my dad bought it. He cruised around and played occassionally on the street with it and then the #7 piston let go. I bought it from him with 35,000 on it and had a local shop build me a 408. Well for some reason the heads were never CC'd to match the pistons so I was running on 13.1 compression without knowing. It kept smoking from day 1 and my concerns were expressed but I was told that it was ok. Well the guys at GForce originally thought that it could have been valve seals so those were replaced. When it kept smoking, I had the heads pulled thinking something wrong with the valves. When GForce pulled off the heads, we saw the #7 piston again messed up but this time it looked melted with part of the ring up in my intake.

Needless to say, I got a hold of the original company to have my warranty cover it. I only had to come up with the money to reinstall the new motor this time and HKE went back with matching pistons for my heads and honed out the cylinder.

I made a start up video this morning and will download it tonight.

Thanks again

I should have some final numbers in a week or two. I am gonna put a couple hundred on it before final tuning.
