I understand dude lol. My friend is just 16, and him and all of my other friends are into the import ****. They don't have the cheap **** though, they have nothing but S R T 4's. Subaru Sti's, Mitsubishi Evo's... **** like that. He's been wanting a turbo 4 cylinder import but once he saw my "nearly stock" Trans Am spank just about all of my friends rides, he had to have one so now he wants me to find him an LT1 Trans Am. I had a couple of them LS1 bugs bite me before, but they never get me good enough. I was so close to trading my Trans Am for an '07 Kawasaki Ninja 600 today... Only thing is my Dad didn't want me to die at a young age.

I see your point and I think you made a good decision on keeping your trans am. I did a lot of things to my old LT1, and I would convinced myself to always keep it after improving/modding something about it.... but then.... as soon as I saw a LS1 Trans Am... my mind would play tricks on me! Finally sold it to a family member, I guess that was the only way, since I knew it would be in good hands. I still get to see it once in a while and it does brings lots of memories. I am very happy with my LS1 Trans Am now, it does feel like it runs way better, but I would've kept both. Bikes are dangerous, I have a friend who used to own a 1999 Corvette, it had many things done to it, he got in financial difficulty and could no longer keep up with the financing, traded car for a almost bran new Ninja bike and the other guy taking over payment..... he regrets doing so.... but I guess thats a different story. I have a 1975 camaro, I would love to find a wrecked LT1 and transplant engine, tranny into my second gen. Good luck on your quest.

I tried talking my friend who wants to buy an LT1 T/A into getting an LS1 T/A but for some reason he just wants an LT1 T/A. He thinks the '93-'97 front end looks way better then the '98+ front end, other wise I think he would get an LS1. I told him just to get a '98+ T/A and fine someone who will switch front ends with him but he doesn't want to have to do any work to his car. He wants something he can just get into and drive. I'm not gonna lie, I'm going to be looking for an LS1 T/A some time soon, in about a month or two if everything goes well.

Thanks man, I'll let my friend know. He's kinda picky on what he wants, and he only has like $5500 to spend since he's like still in high school. I keep telling him it's going to be hard to try and find the one he wants with just $5500. He wants it to have a ram air hood, doesn't have to be functional, 6 speed standard, and have leather interior, t-tops, and it has to be a Trans Am. He wants the big spoiler...

Wow! So he got hooked on the LT1!!!! Its all good, my father would always tell me how the LT1 Trans am was more appealing to him than a LS1 Trans am... so I guess it is true, LT1 front end does appeal more to some people. And to think that once I almost tried to get parts to convert or "upgrade" my 1994 t/a's front end.... shame on me..... But I do like more the LS1 front body treatment it got from GM since 1998.

Yeah me too man. I'm actually looking for another Trans Am also. I'm wanting an LSX, just cause there are more performance parts out there rather then an LTX... I wouldn't mind another LTX...
