Hmmmm...the M/Ts are the baddest i see on the street and track. I have had bad luck with nittos and good luck with them. I now have M/T ET streets so they are for "fun" only.

you want the best, go with michelin, you want something pretty good for not a lot of money? Go with either some fuzion or some kuhmos. I have fuzions and i like em, but next time i might go with some kuhmos.

Nitto 555 tires are my favorite low-buck tires. Kuhmo ECSTA are a little cheaper, but also noisy on the road and don't wear as slowly. The little ribs on the sidewalls of the Kuhmos also are a pain in the *** when you want to shine the tire up. They collect the tire shine and sling it down the side of your car when you drive it. haha

I've had two sets of BFG KDW tires and have been happy with both.

What is it you are looking for in a tire? Performance, treadwear, street only or track also. There are alot of choices but not knowing how they are going to be used people will just suggest the tires that they have been happy with.

For a really good street tire, I also recommend the BFG KDW. I currently have Eagle F1 GSD3 and I think I liked the KDW better.

The Falken 512 is a good cheap street tire for around 100.00 from Discount Tire.

Thanks for the info. I am in Houston and I think that guy was near Dallas? Plus, I have not heard anything positive about Goodyears really. I am just looking for a good, everyday street tire that looks good. I just wanted to make sure if anyone knew of any that were crap, to put in their input. I think I am going to go with the Nitto or KDW....

Michelin Pilots are the bestdaily driving tire in my opinion, they're expensive as hell but they're worth it. I've always liked BFG D/R they hook really well.

Sorry, didn't realize you were in Houston. Yes, he's near Dallas. Just so you are aware, Goodyear does not just sell Goodyear tires. They sell or can get about everything. I got my Nittos from him.

See, this is what I was wondering about. Those Michelins are way more and up to twice as much as some of the recommended tires. Are they worth it? I bought 4 Michelins for my 2500 Suburban and got over 77k miles, so that was worth it. It was about 400 bucks more than some sets but.....

I can't speak for Mickey Thompson since I have no previous experience with them. But I did just mount up some new ones on my car & going to give them a try. I know by looking at the tires. They are some good looking tires & look like they will hook like a ****.

But I can tell you this. BFG Drag Radials hook like crazy also. I pulled Mid 1.5 60ft on my 315/17/35 BFG Drag Radials all day long.

They suck in the rain. But hook great on the strip
