Default How to remove water spots

Does anyone know the secret to getting rid of water spots on the paint? I have seen a few sites suggest vinegar and water mix. Has anyone tried this and if so how are the results. Anyone who has a black car knows how those water spots still stands out after a good wash.

White vinegar and distilled water. 50/50 mix. It works great. I've been doing this for years.

Does the acidity of the vineger does not take off all the wax even with the diluation?

ive never gotten water spots after a wash when waxing it. If you let the water just dry on the car you will probably get water spots because of the calcium in the water, depending on where you are, depends on how much you have in the water. I usually do a wax as you dry type of thing or just wipe it down with a towel and then wax it rite after.

Sorry I thought you meant long time water spots. Once you are done washing the car, take the nozzle off and just let the water come out of the hose. Run it all over the car. This helps the water sheet off and helps with spots.

Then take the car to the carwash and use the spot free rinse, but let it spray for a little while first.

Default mr clean

my car is black. i got tired of having to dry it off when i was done washing it so i tried a few things listed above but by far the easiest was the mr clean auto dry stuff. i got it from walmart for $15. i dont have to dry the car anymore cause it has a filter that the water goes through. no waterspots, cheap, and easy to use

Yes. You will need to re-wax. But if you use a polish to remove them, you'll also need to re-wax. Or if you use a claybar, you'll need to re-wax.

If they don't come off with a regular car wash, you can pretty much count on having to re-wax.
