Default crate or rebuild engine?
i just purchased a 98 trans am with 115k miles for 5grand. i was wanting to rebuild or buy a new engine. what would yall recomend? and do yall kno a good shop to work on my car in texas. preferably in houston or san antonio.

What is bad with the engine? I would try to rebuild rather than buying a new stock engine personally

nothing is wrong with as i know but this car was my friends car and i know he ragged the **** out of it many many times. was just thinkin it would be better to fix it up now rathar than to wait till it breaks then fix it.
