Chris it was nice talking with you as well. I'll have those #'s tomorrow sometime. Need to speak to a couple of vendors, no big deal.
I like a good challenge, and I like your plan. I think the clutch mods make sense. I would like to see that hardware if at all possible so I can get a good mental picture of what is in front of the tranny.

I also talked to clutchmaster today after I talked to you. I guess they didnt make it clear on what they where trying to explain to me or not but supposedly the hubs on my clutch where "too soft" in which why the splines got slightyly stripped which could have also played a role in the shaft breaking due to play in the shaft... Not sure, but thats how I understood it from them bc he also went to explain how they had similiar problems in VW's and couple other clutches for neons. So there getting some new harnden hubs in on Thursday.

So the metal the hubs were made from weak metal. Interesting. It happens I suppose. I'll take a closer look at the broken shaft tomorrow. I looked at it briefly after everbody cleared out before I left the shop tonight. Nice to see you dealing with guys who understand what is going on with their hardware.
I would like to speak to your contact. Would you mind p.m.- ing me the contact info for the tech you have spoken to? I spoke to one of their guys last week when I was planning the job we did yesterday.

Well Dog, what you don't know is our modified stock shaft is going to be taken to Nasa for the ultimate "treatment"! We're gonna have them strap it to one of the Shuttles main engines, right in the blast stream for white hot heat treating on the way up, then it will be cooled down very rapidly in zero gravity. From there it will go into a heavily oxygenated scientific cryogenic cold tank for 3 weeks. Then, and only after 3 weeks, will it be taken out and put in a conventional oven for about a day or two at 100 deg f while sitting in Crisco cooking oil. That ought do it.
Then we will take it and spank the **** out of it and see what happens.

As long as Justin is not with me I am sure I wont be going the wrong way! Justin somehow always seems to get me lost. Out all the other times without Justin I seemed to make it to my location perfectly!
