Thumbs down HPD drops the hammer on Teaworks!

Well just got home from having a little talk with HPD. Anyways around 11pm four cops pull in and tell us to get out or they would start towing cars away, I pull out and the cops start folling everyone ......so we then move down to HEB on blackwauk and they pull in like 15 min later and stop like 7 cars including myself. So the cops take are ID's and come back and tell us that we are in his system for life ( dont know what that means) and that they are going to crack down on TeaWork from now on because of the people that are racing down the feeder road. So much for that stop. I wonder what he put in his computer?

The best thing you can do with cops like that is show MUCHO respect and ask questions about things. If they insist on being ********, request their commanding officer.

cops cant tow from private property unless the car is abondoned or involved in a crime or you get arrested they cant just come in and start towing......computer for life please probabaly his personal file... running ur tdl just gives dl history and any warrants with in hpd .... as long as teaworks dosent complain they cant do anyhting except check u out...just stay cool be nice polite and, yes sir ,no sir you will be fine, panicky conduct attracts there attention ,hiding things, moving eratically will get you really checked out.........

Just next time they show up grab a drink and have a seat. You are a customer at a supplier. If you are inside and they try anything with your legally parked car, sue them.

I know what you guys are saying, I dirent panic or anything all I did was run like crazy JK NO like I said the cop said that teaworks will no longer be a stop to hang out at. They said that they would be there next week to do the same. Even if every single person in that parking lot had a teaworks drink they would still kick you out. He told me that that area has been reporting racing activities and that they are tired of it.

Well maybe they should catch racers/other hardcore criminals like racers, not people drinking tea?

Remember the Alamooooooooooo oops I mean that K mart parking lot on Westheimer a few years ago. There were people there that were eating at the Sonic and still got the Gustapo treatment. Couldnt miss that news bit if you were in Houston.

He put in all the relavant info about that certain stop he performed on you of course. And his comments, which go at the very end of his report. Who knows...cops are weird people..I don't understand why anyone would want to grow up and harrass people..which, for the most part..is their job. [yes, they do alot of good]If the public had the real #'s on corrupt cops .....we would never stop for them..

Thats what its reminding me of, mainly because I was out there for it. Maybe a reminder to any cops at Tea Works that try this stunt of the people that lost their jobs over the K Mart incident might make them reconsider.

Those people were all paid in a class action suit against the city. Needless to say everyone was fired.
