MTI life time tunning?

MTI life time tunning? when i bought my car it came with a cam and an MTI tune and the prev owner told me he had opted for "life time tunning" since he did allot of racing. so my question is do i have life time tunnig or does it not transfer and is now void? if there even is such an option.
well call them first but most places, if they have tuned the car, they will honor it by tuning it for you for the same prices, given you own the same car that has been tuned by them and most places charge more even if theyve tuned it before if you did a big mod.
dont think they will know that your not the original owner, just say they tuned it before, when they hook it up it should say if the program they are using has a notes section like LS1 edit does.

From what I remember they would "retune" mine after more mods. The price was lower than a "new" tune. Not sure if that carries over to a new owner or is even still in effect. Best bet is to call them. Jayson knows his ****.

I highly doubt the lifetime retune will be honored for a few reasons. For one, there is a new owner of the car and as 9Ball stated, it's not transferable. Second, the lifetime tune seemed like a real good deal for all when it first rolled out, but there is not a human being on this earth that can stay on top of the tuning needs of the average LS1 enthusiast these days. We change so many things so often that it would become a job for 5 qualified individuals that are willing to work for free. Bottom line is the LS1 world totally took off and exceeded everyones expectations. Jayson at MTI had very good intentions, but it had to come to an end if quality work was going to continue to be available to his customers. I would bet they would be willing to work with you though.
As a tuner myself, I have learned that tuning takes an enormous amount of time to do it right and learn the tricks of the trade. MTI is very well versed in LS1 tuning and will take care of your needs, just don't expect a freebie as it's not a fair request IMHO.

i never expected a freebee, from what i understood there was still a charge to re tune. i just wanted to know i was going to have to pay the 500 bucks or the smaller fee. i guess i'll just call. thanks to every1
