DAM ... So what the **** is wrong with my car......
The factory window sticker says 24 MPG.. but the new numbers GM released for the factory were actually more like 17 MPG.. That came from GM.
So what is it I need to do to be getting the 24 MPG???
Because I am stumped on that...

Tony must be exaggerating with the numbers a little bit, all the F-bodys I've been around got between 16-22 (mostly on the lower end) mpg unless there were some 80-90% hwy trips.

boo hoo. Some people pay $5 for a Starbucks coffee or $1 for a 12oz bottle of water....and still bitch about gas prices.
Lets do some math here. Lets say you average the "12K miles per year" common average. If your V8 car gets 24 mpg (low for an LS1) that means you used 500 gallons of gas that year. If gas goes up $0.20/gal that means you only spent $100 more for the year.
Even if it goes up $1.00 per gallon from now, that is only $500 for the year. Small price to pay to have a kick *** V8 car, in my opinion.
Furthermore, $100/year is basically 1.5 Starbucks coffees per month. Anyone that drinks more than one of anything for $5 each shouldn't complain about gas.

and also for the ppl that get regular over premium you old save like $3 per fill up, so just like you said lay off the starbux or the extra dbl cheeseburger.
You should check the prices of fuel over in Europe then you wouldn't be so quick to complain.
I found this on Google.
http://goeurope.about.com/gi/dynamic....html%23Diesel
The bottom green line is the average price that we pay. The upper lines are different European countries.

*but higher taxes, higher gas, and acording to my dad who has been to almost every major europian country live like ****..

LOL... it just amazes me of the price..
I can remember when me and the buddies were scraping together like 4 dollars for gas... (when we were 16).
and that 4 bucks would get us around the whole town... total of like 4.3 gallons for 4 dollars....
Man do I wish it was still breaking the dollar mark... that would be great...

Find it fun and helps kill this long work day off.
Yes its like 80 bucks a month for my wife and I to smoke...
getting freaking expensive... again.. wish it was back in the day of when I could get a pack of marlboros for 1.49
Man those were the days...

I see alot of people talking about them getting 220 miles on a tank of gas..
So you guys who are getting 24 MPG.. You are getting 360 Miles on 1 tank of gas..
Cuz if you are, dam that is great... I need to see what I have been doing with all my cars.... Any v8 I have had, I cant get over 300 miles on a tank of gas.
My wife's pontiac G6, barely pulls around 380 a tank of gas... She gets around 24 MPG.
I did not think that these ls1's were getting such great gas mileage.. At least I have not SEEN one..

so that right at 300 miles is right at about 18 MPG on the highway, with 3.23s
I have 3.73's, so I wonder of they is playing a part in my car eating gas on the highway.. That being the best I have ever gotten on a tank of gas was 260 ish.
Then it was refill time... I might of had 1 more gallon in the tank at time for refill
When I get my car going over 60MPH... The gas guage... you can practically watch it go down.

Tell ya what, buy a turbo 4-banger and you can get 26-40mpg and go quick whenever you feel like it (but you won't get the same gas mileage with a lead foot).
Pssh my LT1 gets 17 city and 22 hwy, but I'm a 6spd 3:42 gear who only gets on to it some of the time.
