Friggin Unreal
A Rod Extends Contract
This guy must suck off his agent to get these contracts. Sets the bar again for largest contract in MLB history.... 10 years, $275 million.
I fail to understand how someone that falls off the planet in the playoffs is deemed a valuable entity. Sure, he may get you there... but he is of no use once you get there.

His original contract with the Rangers helped set the bar for several of the current outlandish contracts by other players. I feel Tom Hicks takes a bit of the blame for throwing such a ridiculous number out there when he could have offered much less and still got him. All AROD did was say yes, and I don't fault him for that. I don't know off many people that wouldn't have.
I agree that he hasn't done **** in the playoffs but in this market today he is worth what he got.
