Sounds like we need to have a "Fastest Street Vette in Texas" competition. Sounds like fun to me! BTW, it was 65 deg that day.

Like I said.. We COULD do that if we WANTED to, but we did not. We did not plan on running John that night. Hell we didn't know he was coming until we had made one motor pass and were getting ready to make an n2o pass.

Sorry Mike only went 10.9s on motor. He did fly into the 9s with a stock motor with nitrous.

My car is alot diffrent than his keep in mind I have more miles on my 427 than John does on his car!! I have a 6 speed with a 3:42 gear John has a built auto with a big stall and 3:90 gear. John also has more cubic inchs, a way better set of heads, and a way bigger cam. His car was stripped out with no exhaust, one seat and in full racecar mode. Mine had 3/4 a tank of gas, both seats, and full exhaust.

Hey at least these guys are actually racing corvettes! They are probably some of the only vette guys in america that actually show up to race. I want to see that three way race between LP and John and Mike!

Hahahaha, quite a few excuses! John does have a bigger cam although I don't know about the compression as I didn't put anywhere near what they wanted in that engine. It has full dished pistons. I don't know how much difference 5-6 inches make either but that's probably next to nothing. John also has normal tension 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 rings and a heavy *** Eagle 55 pound crank and 680 gram old school Eagle SBC H-Beam boat anchor rods! I bet LP has a much higher pimp style rotating assembly! I could pick up John 20hp just with modern rings! That engine was built in the old days and still makes 570 through an automatic with pump gas and a hydraulic roller!

I love my HKE Engine. Eric redid my 402 and it runs better than ever.

On a side note Franks car is already close to being fired up. Can you say 600 RWHP NA out of a 408!!!
